Back in 2002, when 19grams started roasting in Berlin, speciality coffee was virtually unheard of in Germany. Undaunted, 19grams set out to change that, with a vision to make great coffee something everyone can enjoy. Fast forward to today, and 19grams is a speciality coffee roaster dedicated to making exceptional coffee fun, approachable, and accessible. The mission is simple: take the pretension out of speciality coffee and focus on what matters most—sharing bloody good coffee with everyone.
The Alex location is where they have their own roastery and roast all the coffees right next to the café! Additionally, they host all kinds of awesome workshops surrounding skills and knowledge in Speciality Coffee (even a roasting class!).
The Alex location can also be rented as an events space. :)
Sustainability
Sustainability is a core value at 19grams. All coffees are sourced through direct and fair trade practices, with a strong emphasis on building long-term partnerships with farmers. This commitment not only enhances the quality of each cup but also supports improved living and working conditions in coffee-growing regions.
